  59.                          SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
  60. ============================================================================

  62. Submissions will be accepted via anonymous ftp from 1/8/96 through 3/31/96.
  63. It is important that you follow the directions below or your submission will 
  64. not be accepted.
  65.  
  66.   Save a copy of this mail to a file called 'sub_form'.  You will be 
  67.   required to include a copy in your submission archive, as noted below.
  68.  
  69.   Use 'tar' to archive your entire Java application.  Your tar file should 
  70.   be given the eight character ID name listed above.  Any other name will not 
  71.   get filed correctly with your registration entry and therefore will not be 
  72.   accepted.
  73.  
  74.   The tar file will include:
  75.  
  76.     * All images, sounds, source code (*.java) and compiled classes
  77.       (*.classes) and a local html page with the embedded applet.
  78.  
  79.     * Everything necessary to run the applet locally by the judges is
  80.       required for entry. If the applet is not ready to run, it will not
  81.       be considered. 
  82.  
  83.     * If the applet requires the Internet for any kind of the data feed
  84.       and the data feed is not available to us at the time of
  85.       judging, ensure that you can simulate that data feed locally from
  86.       a file. That file should be included as part of the submittal.
  87.  
  88.     * A copy of this mail named 'sub_form'.
  89.  
  90.     * A 'README' file if necessary.

  92.   Login using Anonymous FTP to javacontest.sun.com.  Use the name
  93.   'anonymous' and enter your e-mail address for the password.  Then 
  94.   place your tar file in the /incoming directory.
